Metro Centre Owings Mills is proud to once again host one of the community’s most uplifting annual traditions—the Chanukah Festival & Giant Menorah Lighting, presented in partnership with Chabad of Owings Mills. The celebration will take place on Sunday, December 14, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, marking the beginning of the Chanukah holiday with an evening of light, unity, and family-friendly festivities.
This cherished event centers around the lighting of the Esther Ann Menorah, led by Rabbi Nochum Katsenelenbogen (Rabbi K.), Director of Chabad of Owings Mills.
Baltimore County Councilman Julian Jones will also join local families, neighbors, and guests in commemorating the first night of Chanukah.

A Celebration for All Ages
The Chanukah Festival transforms Metro Centre into a vibrant seasonal gathering place. Visitors can enjoy a variety of festive activities designed to bring joy to attendees of all ages, including:
- Crafts and face painting
- Live entertainment
- A Dreidel mascot appearance
- Donuts, latkes, and holiday treats
- A communal lighting of the Giant Menorah at sunset
The atmosphere each year is one of warmth and togetherness, filled with families, friends, and community members who come to share in the celebration. Metro Centre’s central plaza becomes a space where traditions are honored, new memories are made, and the spirit of the season shines brightly.
A Meaningful Tradition at Metro Centre

For David S. Brown Enterprises, the Chanukah Festival represents more than a holiday celebration—it reflects the company’s commitment to fostering community connection and enriching the cultural and social fabric of Owings Mills.
The event also highlights Metro Centre’s role as a true community hub, offering experiences that bring people together and celebrate the diversity of the region. From seasonal programming to tenant events and family festivals, Metro Centre continues to serve as a gathering place for residents and visitors alike.
